Again, What A Month!!

Last month, we introduced you to the brand new Ruby Protocol, which is now positioned as an Intent-Centric Account & Access Layer for Web3. With this new mission, we want to continue to be at the vanguard of innovation, collaborating with industry partners, surmounting challenges, and inching closer to our ultimate goal of making Web3 easy, effortless, and seamless for everyone everywhere.

October was a very hectic month for Ruby Protocol and its communities. We together have witnessed some significant ups and downs.

The ups were the massive influx of users and attention, while the downs were the many obstacles we faced in Ruby One posted by the incumbent systems.

As we move into November, let’s take a good look back at Ruby Protocol’s performance in October 2023. It was a month worth reflecting upon. Here’s a detailed breakdown of our achievements and initiatives during the past month.

Ruby One Gas Free Referral Program

The highlight of October was undoubtedly the successful launch of the Ruby One Referral Program. This program aimed to incentivize users and spread awareness of Ruby Protocol and our solutions. The impact was indeed substantial:

  • Over 23,600 New Followers

The Referral Program attracted more than 23,600 individuals who became Ruby Protocol’s Twitter page followers. This surge in followers underscores the growing interest in Ruby Protocol’s move to an intent-centric design.

Simply go to our twitter page and check out the amazing progress we made together.

  • Exceeding 160,000 Email Sign-ups

Our extensive outreach efforts resulted in more than 160,000 email sign-ups. This impressive figure proves that users are eager for a more accessible way to sign up for crypto functionalities and also demonstrates the rising enthusiasm for Web3 and the Ruby Protocol ecosystem.

  • Surpassing 60,000 Active Ruby One Addresses

The exponential growth in the number of active Ruby One addresses signifies the effective development of our user-friendly MPC wallet, providing users with a secure and intuitive means to manage their crypto assets. To put the number in perspective, the current Ruby One user base can fill the entire London Stadium.

  • A Community of 35,000+ Referral OAT Owners

The Referral Program successfully fostered a community of over 34,000 OAT token owners, which not only symbolizes the program’s effectiveness but also showcases our community’s commitment to the Ruby Protocol vision.

  • A Community of 60,500+ Users on Galxe

Ruby Protocol just built a community of a considerable size on Galxe (https://galxe.com/rubyprotocol), the leading platform for building Web3 community. With over 11 million unique users, Galxe has propelled the growth of Optimism, Polygon, Arbitrum, and more than 3000 partners with reward-based loyalty programs.

  • 1.4 Million+ Views

The Ruby One Referral Program achieved wide-reaching visibility, garnering over 1.4 million views across Ruby Protocol and Ruby One applications. Internally, we believe Ruby One and this referral program put Ruby Protocol on the map.

Expanding the Ecosystem With New Partnerships

With ongoing efforts for further expansion, in October, Ruby Protocol expanded its partner network to 35 collaborators.

The strategic partnerships we’ve been presenting to our communities since the project’s inception are all official agreements between other parties and us to collaborate to provide best-in-class services for crypto users and newcomers from the old Web2 world.

No single entity can address all of the challenges and opportunities in the complex and rapidly evolving landscape of Web3 technologies. We are now making Web3 accessible to everyone, everywhere, with Ruby’s 35 partners.

Partnership With Nautilus Chain

Nautilus is an L3 chain featuring a modular architecture that allows developers to tailor the execution, settlement, and data availability layers according to their needs.

Partnership With ZetaChain

ZetaChain is a decentralized blockchain and smart contract platform built for omnichain interoperability.

The technical integration of ZetaChain into Ruby One, Ruby Protocol’s advanced Multi-Party Computation (MPC) wallet, is one of the most exciting aspects of this collaboration.

Partnership With SharkWeb

SharkWeb Blockchain is a revolutionary technology that will change the way people think about Blockchain. SharkWeb Blockchain is not just another LAYER 1 blockchain technology — it’s an entirely new approach involving AI and Cyber security.

Partnership With Cryptania

Cryptania is community media outlet that aims to unite the world of cryptocurrencies through news, insights, and fast updates on the decentralized world

Challenges Posed By Centralized Power

Although we have achieved great results and received warm feedback with this referral program, it was not at all a smooth sail.

As it turned out, designing a web2 like crypto user experience using centralized tools posed great technical challenges and could sometimes negatively influenced the overall user experience. In our first Weekly Recap and through out the first week of the referral program, we posted several times on these issues.

However, Ruby Protocol is steadfast in its commitment to providing users with a truly decentralized but effortless experience. These challenges serve as motivation to continuously improve and offer unimpeded access to the potential of decentralized technologies.

Even with the launch of Ruby One V2, we continued to iterate on the previous version and delivered new UI and UX designs regularly.

Launch of the Ruby Protocol New SDK

One of the proudest achievements in October was the launch of the Ruby Protocol New SDK. This suite of Web3 development tools opens up a world of possibilities for developers and creators.
