Fellow Rubies,

Welcome back to Ruby Protocol.

Welcome to October 2022, a month in which the world gathers to discuss the future of crypto and Web3.

This month, the Financial Stability Board (FSB), a global financial regulator including all G20 countries, is preparing to propose international regulations for cryptocurrencies and stablecoins in October. The G20 authority also plans to submit another public consultation report that presents recommendations for promoting global consistency of regulatory and supervisory approaches to other crypto-assets.

In Asia, TOKEN2049 Singapore offers a wide range of meetups, workshops, and parties, creating unparalleled networking opportunities for this space.

We believe this is a clear sign of a consensus that the crypto space will continue to move forward. Wherever the bottom is, it is a place from which momentum will gradually build up to favor constancy and discipline. Moreover, the gathering of most crypto leaders indicates such bouncing back.

Before we look into October, let’s recap what Ruby Protocol achieved in September 2022.

Partnerships Building

On September 6th, we announced our strategic partnership with Vinci Protocol, an NFT-backed DeFi protocol designed to boost Liquidity with a lending platform and simultaneously hedge Volatility with NFT-backed derivative products.

Ruby Protocol will offer a private data management framework that proposes and implements a privacy layer interacting with the multi-chain ecosystem to ensure Vinci Protocol’s users are safe from malicious actors.

NFT3 was another major partner in Ruby’s ecosystem. They are the first unified decentralized identity and credit network for Web3 and your portal to the Metaverse.

We consider this partnership a joint effort to counter the pressing issues of the modern world. Ruby Protocol focuses on building a private data management framework for Web 3.0 that proposes and implements a privacy layer interacting with the multi-chain ecosystem.

Kylin Network is an OG data Infrastructure working on DeData. It aims to build a cross-chain platform powering the data economy on Polkadot. Kylin Network will provide valid, reliable, secure, cost-effective, and easily-coordinated data sources and analytics.

Ruby Protocol will take advantage of the secure and timely data feeds offered by Kylin Network while developing in concert what data feeding they can most benefit from via oracle scripting.

TeaDAO is another strategic partner. It is the first Decentralized Metaverse Reserve Currency for GameFi, offering instant liquidity for NFTs through the NFT-as-Bonding-Assets mechanism.

We believe this partnership can offer TeaDAO users an additional layer of security and privacy protection in using NFT as an asset mechanism.

On the last day of September, we were delighted to welcome another strategic partner to the Ruby Protocol ecosystem.

MyCointainer is a staking platform for all cryptocurrency enthusiasts, experienced or fledging. They have set themselves apart by providing different passive income streams that support not only the end users but also companies in simple but meaningful ways.

Ruby Protocol Outreach

Ruby Protocol is all over the world in September. We have worked with many of our partners in launching events to raise awareness and highlight how valuable technology and tools are for your privacy.

DeData, Short for Decentralized Data — is a new data paradigm that implements full user data ownership, sovereignty, and truth.

Mindaugas Savickas(@s4vick4s), our general manager, represented Ruby Protocol at DeData Salon, showcasing what we can offer to the DeData movement.

Blockchain Week Berlin is a decentralized community-organized initiative. There is no single owner. It is an agnostic movement based on the premise that self-organization is the backbone of the ecosystem.

This year’s TOKEN2049 in Singapore is an in-person event since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. It announced a record-breaking 7,000+ attendees, 2,000+ global companies, and 250+ sponsors for its Singapore debut, making it the industry’s largest and most well-attended event in years.

Ruby AMA

IM COMMUNITY held an AMA with https://ruby.xyz on 08 September 2022 to talk about how Ruby Protocol will empower end users and ultimately make data and communication more secure.

On September 20th, 2PM UTC, we held an AMA with our strategic partner to discuss in length what NFT3 means for DID and DeData.

They also came with many 20% discount codes @ http://nft3.club.

Talk Ruby with NFT3. Here’s a summary of what we discussed. In this AMA, the speaker/GM from Ruby Protocol — Mindaugas (@s4vick4s) dived deep into details on the idea, utility, collaborations, unique features of Ruby Protocol, and our expansion plans and roadmap updates.

Ruby Protocol In-Depth Articles

We believe the decade-long crypto movement might be the biggest, most comprehensive and technical experiment on privacy, responsibility, and freedom. It is happening via blockchain and cryptocurrency. It enthralls the world’s attention because, for the first time in human history, people are in complete control of what they own and therefore carry 100% responsibility for their actions.

In this article, we want to show our community and crypto space the relationship among these three concepts, and how taking responsibility is the only way you become free.

Ultimately, freedom, in turn, results in more robust privacy and demands more responsibilities.

Even in a technical recession, if you follow the tech industry, you are probably overwhelmed by the daily deluge of news on blockchain and cryptocurrency. The debate is heating up. No matter which side you prefer, there’s no denying the promise of Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and Web3: its vast potential in terms of digital, peer-to-peer payments, the future of currency, and, most importantly, the data control of ordinary users.

This is the promise of returning data ownership to the people while having complete transparency regarding blockchain transactions. To fulfill these contradictory goals, privacy is the key.

About Us

Ruby Protocol is a cross-chain, privacy-first infrastructure, powered by Polkadot. Our layer-1 protocol utilizes Functional Encryption (FE) cryptography, which allows users to adopt a modular approach to data privacy and ownership. This novel solution will allow users to encrypt sensitive information on-chain, which can only be decrypted by holders of an approved private key.

Ruby’s FE Substrate-pallet will serve as the building blocks for privacy-first smart contract DApps building on the native Ruby Chain, while also acting as a privacy layer for Parachains and Web3 DApps across the Polkadot ecosystem.
