To all Rubies,

We are happy to announce a strategic partnership with DoraHacks, an active global developer community and leading hacker organization that acts as a bridge, connecting hackers to enterprise challenges and entrepreneurial ideas.

DoraHacks has a network of over 300,000 hackers worldwide and event organizers that have hosted 100+ hackathons in 15 cities, spanning 8 countries with more than 400 partners. They are one of the largest and most comprehensive Web3 communities in this space. Recently, DoraHacks officially launched DAO Bounty, which can empower DAOs and organizations to coordinate their workstream tasks and enable decentralized communities to get more involved in these activities by incentivization.

This positioning of Ruby Protocol is a cross-chain, privacy-first, and Polkadot-powered infrastructure, which suggests it is highly technical and requires real technical ingenuity to bring to fruition. By partnering with DoraHacks, Ruby Protocol will enlist the help and innovation from their developer talent pool from all over the world, create a result-oriented culture, and give free rein to their creativity.

Ruby Protocol will allow users to encrypt sensitive information on-chain, which can only be decrypted by holders of an approved private key. We envision this will significantly help steer Web3 in a more private and secure direction. With DoraHacks, we will offer more thrust to open-source, privacy-oriented projects, and innovative early-stage ideas that would eventually bring Ruby Protocol and Web3 to a broader community.

About Us

Ruby Protocol is a cross-chain, privacy-first infrastructure, powered by Polkadot. Our layer-1 protocol utilizes Functional Encryption (FE) cryptography, which allows users to adopt a modular approach to data privacy and ownership. This novel solution will allow users to encrypt sensitive information on-chain, which can only be decrypted by holders of an approved private key.

Ruby’s FE Substrate-pallet will serve as the building blocks for privacy-first smart contract DApps building on the native Ruby Chain, while also acting as a privacy layer for Parachains and Web3 DApps across the Polkadot ecosystem.
