Ruby Protocol Twitter Account Incident Report
Ruby Protocol’s Twitter/X account has a golden check and is a verified organization. But this happened.
Imagine being robbed in broad daylight, not of physical goods, but of your voice, your community, your digital lifeblood.
That’s precisely what Twitter did to our project’s official Twitter account, ripping away our platform with cold indifference and leaving us grasping at thin air.
For days, we banged on the closed doors of Twitter Support. Emails, phone calls, online forms, DMs — all swallowed by their automated hellhole. Not a single human, not a flicker of response, just the deafening silence of a company drunk on its own power or its rapid downfall.
Twitter has THE worst support ever!
How Did It Happen?
To prepare for our following listings, we decided to do a comprehensive check on all of our social accounts to ensure all information is up to date and impeccable. Having changed some profile info and settings, our Twitter account (@RubyProtocol) was suddenly locked and has been stuck in the consent-flow loop since 2024/1/28 at 2:30 AM UTC.
See the screenshot below:
This means we can’t access the account and cannot tweet and retweet — basically, Twitter hibernation mode.
No explanation given!
Some example we found: https://piunikaweb.com/2022/10/06/twitter-is-stuck-in-the-consent_flow-loop-after-changing-dob/
Conclusion: This is a bug with X/Twitter for years!
But We Received No Support
Funds are SAFU
We want to make it very clear that
We Are Not Hacked!
Funds Are SAFE!
Listings Are Ongoing!
Developments Normal!
For now we will use @RubyLabs_xyz as our official account until we restore the original one.
We believe this incident was caused by Twitter mismanagement and a lack of user support. You wouldn’t have to read this if Twtiter/X has a semi- decent support team.
We also believe this is also a battle cry for every independent voice, every community, and every individual tired of being dictated to by faceless algorithms and self-proclaimed digital emperors.
Decentralization Matters!
We will not be cowed or silenced. We will rebuild our community stronger and more resilient than ever, independent of Twitter’s tyrannical grip.
We will carry on!
But Can you help us?
If you are a Ruby community member, investor, or supporter in general, in our mission, please help us if you have any contact at Twitter/X support that can help us resolve this situation as soon as possible.
We have sent an email to all of our investors internally and have been trying through our internal networks for days to resolve this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The good news is Twtter/X support team seems to acknowledge this bug and our concerns.
The Way Forward
Meanwhile, the $RUBY rollout will continue as best we can.
Rest assured, your support and patience will be duly rewarded. This is only a tiny hiccup we will have forgotten in some time. The larger mission of creating an Intent-Centric Account & Access Layer for Web3 continues.
We hope to resolve this Twitter problem quickly, and you will hear from us very soon about listing updates. Until then, we thank the entire Ruby community for their constant support and patience.
