Q1: What is $RUBY token?
$RUBY is the native token of the Ruby Protocol, meaning the exchange of data and value within the Ruby Protocol ecosystem and its development and expansion are dependable on and facilitated by $RUBY tokens.
Consider $RUBY as the blood vessels of Ruby Protocol.
Q2: Why $RUBY Token Launch?
We envision this token launch event will allow more participants to join and contribute to the Ruby Protocol ecosystem and, in return, receive the native utility tokens that serve as the backbone of this project.
These rounds will also help Ruby Protocol establish a more decentralized network as more users claim their $RUBY tokens, which improves the project’s security, minimizes the risk of central control and encourages censorship resistance.
Q3: What is the tokenomics like?
The total supply of $RUBY token is fixed at 1 billion.
Q4: Why do I need $RUBY token?
$RUBY is the native utility token of the Ruby Protocol that is needed to run and govern the protocol.
Blockchain needs a protocol and an ecosystem to support value and information exchange. And crypto users need a set of applications to help them manage their crypto lives.
The utility of $RUBY is designed to make sure the protocol and the applications within are running smoothly to serve our user base, which includes but is not limited to:
- Staking: All the nodes are required to stake $RUBY to secure the decentralization of the Ruby Protocol.
- Governance: $RUBY token holders can create and vote for proposals. Token holders can vote for protocol upgrades.
- Payment: $RUBY will be used as the payment method for transaction fees occurring on the network and applications.
- Incentive: $RUBY can be used to encourage users to participate in the network.
Holders of RUBY tokens can make proposals in the following ways following the rules:
- System upgrade
- Modification of governance rules
- Financial support and incentive plan
- Addition or modification of product features
- Adjustment of system governance parameters
Q5: How do I acquire it and at what cost?
It is usually done in two ways.

You can participate in Ruby Protocol’s numerous campaigns and earn $RUBY via your contributions. The $RUBY reward will come out of the Community Reward section following its vesting schedule. For $RUBY airdrop, please refer to our Ecosystem Airdrop plan.
You can pay for it 👇
You can also directly purchase it through different types of exchanges. Currently, you can buy $RUBY tokens from the ongoing sale event.

Once $RUBY is listed on public exchanges, its prices will be subject to market force, which are hard to predict.

100% of $RUBY token distribution will follow the vesting schedule strictly. No exception!

Yes.
There will be some restrictions imposed on some jurisdictions, which will be implemented by technical methods.

Ruby Protocol allocates 5,000,000 $RUBY tokens to ecosystem airdrop to reward those who made genuine contributions to Ruby Protocol along the way.
